The In-Room Copy
Every good hotel has a book on the table in the suite. Usually it is someone else's -- a fashion house, a photographer, a city.
The in-room copy is yours. The property photographed the way the guest remembers it, the grounds, the kitchen, the people who run the place, bound as a coffee table book with the property's mark debossed on the cover.
Guests read it on the first night. Some ask to buy it. Give the boutique a stack and let them.
One copy for the signature suite, or a run for every room, made one at a time either way.
Brand Books and Press Kits
A property book does a second job the moment it leaves the building.
Bound for the press, the travel advisor, the developer or the owner, it is the version of the property that survives the meeting. A PDF gets closed. A book gets left on the desk.
For a group, one base design carries the brand and each property gets its own pages, so the book from the Nairobi property and the book from the Bahamas property sit on the same shelf and read as one family.
Debossed, slipcased, and shipped to wherever the meeting is.
Guest Gifts and Welcome Amenities
The guests who matter most rarely need another amenity. They have the robe.
A book made for them is different: their stay, their villa, the week the whole family finally came together, photographed during the stay by the property's photographer and sent home after it.
It is the welcome amenity for the repeat guest, the buyout gift for the family who took the island, the parting gift that arrives two weeks after they have flown.
The property that sends it is the property they talk about at dinner for a year.
How it works
- The conversation. Tell us the property: how many rooms, who the guest is, and whether the book lives in the suite, in the press kit, or in both.
- The design. Work with our design team from the photography you already own, or deliver print-ready files; either path ends in proofs you approve.
- The craft. Bound by hand in our European workshop: leathers, linens, papers, debossing, and slipcases or presentation cases from our own carpenters.
- The delivery. Worldwide, with FedEx and DHL. A single copy produces in 12 business days after proofs are approved; runs are scheduled per project, and every quote includes its timeline.

FAQ
What is a custom hotel book? A coffee table book about one property: the rooms, the grounds, the kitchen and the people, photographed, designed and bound by hand in our European workshop. Hotels commission them as in-room copies, as brand books for press and partners, and as gifts for returning guests.
How many copies does a hotel usually order? As many as there are places for it. A single copy for the signature suite, one for every room, or a run for the whole group. Every KONPOLI book is made one at a time, so there is no minimum and no penalty for a small first order.
Can guests buy the book? Yes. Many properties keep copies in the boutique and at the front desk. We can produce a retail run alongside the in-room copies on the same design, so the book a guest takes home matches the one in the suite.
Do you work from our existing photography? Yes. Most hotel books are designed from photography the property already owns. Our design team lays it out and you approve proofs. If you would rather deliver print-ready files, we bind from those.
Can each property in a group have its own book? Yes. One base design carries the brand; each property gets its own pages, cover photograph and debossed name, so the books read as a family without reading as copies.
How long does a hotel book take? A single copy in a standard format produces in 12 business days after proofs are approved. Large formats and larger runs can take a month or more. Every quote includes its timeline, and we plan around openings and press dates.
How does pricing work? Every project is quoted individually, based on format, materials, page count and the number of copies. The conversation starts with the property.
Do you ship internationally? Yes. Finished books ship worldwide from Miami with FedEx and DHL. International clients work with us remotely; inquiries this year have come from Kenya and the Bahamas.
